Thanks for this post for a few reasons:
1.) I love nature – Hike in it whenever I can.
2.) I love Kentucky – Grew up in the most beautiful state.
3.) I love water – Our family farm has 2 creeks. It’s downriver of Cincy, in Constance, KY.
4.) I love photography – Have been doing it for 20+ years
5.) I love Micah – He’s my nephew and lived with us for 6 months while we were in Austin, TX.
6.) I love slowing down – Your post calls us to simpler times and purer joys.

Jon, I see you’ve come under the spell of my dear mother in law and her love of the farm. This 85th birthday is one we didn’t expect to get to celebrate. She is a miracle in so many ways. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love her. I can’t wait to see all the shots you took. Glad you got to cool off in the creek too. I bet your kids will remember that for a very long time. Thanks for such a wonderful telling of her story.

Great shoot, I really love the lighting diagram.. I have tried to reverse engineer your lighting from your portfolio for a while now, so this is a very welcome addition to the post.

are you shooting onto white board?
Then cutting out person from background and changing the color with omni light?
I like the retouching.. how do you get that polished skin look?
